This is an original composition for Organ and Piano using two well known Christmas hymn tunes, Antioch (Joy To the World) and In Dulci Jubilo.
The two tunes are presented in sequential fashion in various keys and meters, finally ending in a spectacular tour de force. The styles of Satie, and Tchaikovsky are used, as is a quotation from Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. This duet is a great way to enhance your Christmas Eve or Christmas Day worship services!
